This oil is impregnated with refrigerants, and as such is considered a controlled substance that must be dealt with in the same fashion as the refrigerants themselves. 99% of the time, it is absolutely impossible to separate all of the refrigerant from the oil. Therefore the preferred method of destroying this waste oil is incineration.
